The 2013 Reunion of the Proud Americans took place in Washington DC from May 9-12. This reunion saw many new faces joining our group of Vietnam Veterans and some of them were their children and grand children. We stayed at the Sheridan Hotel in Crystal City, Virginia and hired busses to take us to The Wall, dinner and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We had a ceremony at The Wall for each of the 38 Proud Americans killed in Vietnam. The ceremony consisted of reading each name, locating the name on The Wall and placing a plaque and a rose at each location. Laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was done by Tom Welch, Erick Kwasniewski, Mel Major and Noman Kennedy with all Proud Americans and their families in attendance.
It was a great reunion with flawless execution and will be remembered by all present.
